GMAIL Upgraded

GMAILGMAIL is Google’s free webmail service which comes with built-in Google search technology and over 2.8gb in storage (It is growing everyday). GMAIL has also integrates intant messaging (Google Talk), so you can keep in touch with your friends while you’re online (now thats a brilliant idea to keep users to stay online, isn’t it?). This is all that we already know about GMAIL.

The good news is that Gmail has upgraded the allowed attachment size in GMAIL from 10mb to 20mb. Now you can start sharing more of your video clips, presentations and files that you just can’t zip any smaller. With this doubled attachment size, GMAIL space is even more useful.

GMAIL account used to be “by invitation only” basis but now you may ask your friends to visit www.gmail.com and sign up without an invitation or send them one.

Another great GMAIL upgrade is, you can check your other email accounts. You can retrieve your mails from other email accounts (Up to five) and read them all in GMAIL. You may customize the ‘From’: address if you are replying for your other accounts. Of course you can only retrieve mails which has POP3 access enabled. This works well as most of us has more then one emal account and with this features we can forget about having to open other websites just to read the mails (or delete the spam mails, in most case).

Thats not all, have you ever reply to a message and then find out that someone has sent one just before you (That an embarrassment)? GMAIL has sort that one out too. If someone sends a reply while you’re reading or replying, you will be notified that a new message has arrived. Click on “Update Conversation” and see what you almost missed.

All this should have been done sooner but i think, it is time for us all to be thankful rather then questioning the ETA. Now, other web based email provider will most likely follow suit very soon and that is what we have to look out for.

Thank you for this site. I hope it will continue in this vein for a long time to come. Well done! By the way - I found my way here by searching for wireless internet provider. When I found your post \”pgraded | Gizmostuff\” I was intrigued.
