Firefox 3 a Better Browser

Firefox 3The Firefox development team is working to release Firefox Version 3 by November 2007 and it is going to provide a wide range of improvements to performance, stability, and security. A feature that is universally useful, and has no impact on performance is also being added. The largest change for Firefox 3 is the implementation of Gecko 1.9, allowing improved graphics performance and better consistency of look and feel on various operating systems.

Firefox 3 will deliver support for offline applications. This is significant because you’ll be able to use your web apps - like Gmail, Google Docs & Spreadsheets, Google Calendar, etc - in the browser offline. Native support for microformats, such as the overhauled system for storing bookmarks and history in a SQLite backend is also included. There is also advanced ongoing work focused on further implementation of features from Web Hypertext Application Technology Working Group specification. In particular, supports “ping” attribute in and HTML elements is implemented and enabled by default. The development team is asking users to submit feature requests that they wish to be included in Firefox 3. However, the browser does not support Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, and Windows NT 4.0, and the Mac version of Firefox 3 will only run on OS X 10.3 or higher. This browser is going to be the best let hope that it will be released very soon.
